I planned, but Hashem planned better

In the Zechus of Refuah Areyh Ben Yehdis

Being a seminary girl means that your always looking for your adventure and so, naturally, my friends and I sat down to plan a hiking trip to teveriyah. Every tiny detail was planned, from the length of the buses to the bus numbers we were ready, and we had all planned to wake up at 6:30 AM to make it happen.

As a precaution before going to sleep that night, my friend and I decided to check the weather in teveriah, and to our disappointment, it was meant to rain ALL DAY. Not just in Tiveriyah, but all over Yerushalayim too. So now not only was Teveriyah not happening, all hopes of hiking anywhere in Yerushalayim were unrealistic.

I decided to put the negatives' aside and figure out a backup plan later on that night and head to the Kotel with my friend, since we both hadn't been in a while.

We got to the Kotel and I said Maariv. As I got the end of my shmonai esrai, I expressed my frustrations to Hashem about our plans falling through and I said: "Hashem You can do anything. Please help us find something to do with our time tomorrow."

I left the Kotel feeling a bit more uplifted, though still disappointed. On the way back from the Kotel, my friend and I stopped to get soft cookies in the old city-which paves the way for what happened next.

We were waiting for the light rail to take us back to seminary, when all of a sudden I spotted a tall girl with a familiar face- it was a girl whom I had met previously that had attended my seminary last year.

She mentioned that she had just come from a private karaoke room a few blocks away. I asked her if she happened to know of any other things to do in yerushalayim. She proceeded to pull up a MASSIVE list of phone numbers of people that host seminary girls for Shabbos, and at the end of it was a list of places with phone numbers of things to do in yerushalyim. I was in shock and gave her a massive hug. She mentioned to us that she was actually hoping to go to the kotel, but hadn't managed to get there yet. If my friend and I hadn't stopped to get soft cookies, we wouldn't have met up with this girl at the light rail. It truly felt like a you've got this from Hashem, and I was so appreciative.

Hashem is with you always-even in the little tiny things that you might think are too small for Him to be involved in. All you need to do is open your eyes to be able to see Hashem Hashgacha in your life, and once your able to see it, it's the most rewarding feeling.
